Challenge:
A recruiting and staffing company in the Mid-Atlantic area wanted to increase sales by improving the lead conversion rate from its Google AdWords campaign.

The company employed several traditional marketing tactics to reach its target audience, from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies. Marketing strategies included public relations, networking events and a monthly newsletter, as well as its website – primarily used as a brand building tool.

The staffing company had also been utilizing a Google AdWords campaign that directed visitors who clicked on specific keywords to their homepage. The company was able to convert one percent of visitors through this campaign. Recognizing that it needed to reinvigorate its Google AdWords campaign, the staffing company turned to Search Mojo to boost its search engine marketing results.

Solution:
First, Search Mojo modified the existing AdWords campaign by directing visitors to specific areas on the company’s website relevant for specific keywords. That change more than doubled the conversion rate to two and a half percent.

Using conversion-tested page designs, Search Mojo then created custom landing pages for specific keywords with content targeted to the specific keyword and friendly imagery. They also included the registration form directly on the new page, streamlining the lead capture process. Search Mojo also integrated the landing page forms with Saleforce.com, allowing the client to capture lead data in a centralized CRM system.

Using these tactics, the conversion rate increased to an impressive 12.5 percent.

Results:
Today, the campaign is generating approximately 50 new leads per month, resulting in 11 additional sales in just six months.

Paul-Tittle Search Group, a Washington, DC-based executive search firm, did not rank in top 100 search results for search keywords specific to their industry, such as “executive recruiting firm”.
